PTAC NYSCA Workshop
The School Construction Authority (SCA) was established by the New York State Legislature in December 1988 to build new public schools and manage the design, construction and renovation of capital projects in New York City’s more than 1,200 public school buildings.
Firms can work with the SCA as either a prime/sub-contractor or as a consultant/sub-consultant, depending on the contract. The SCA typically awards contracts for Construction Contracts and Personal Services Contracts. Different bidding methods are used depending on the contract type. Regardless of the bidding method, in order to do business with the SCA as a prime contractor or consultant, your firm must be prequalified.
