The next South Bronx Leadership Forum (SBLF)-the series that brings local leaders in to discuss issues important to the South Bronx community-will take place on Tuesday, September 14. The keynote speaker will be Pravina Raghavan, New York District Office Director for the Small Business Administration. Her talk is titled "Your Business & the SBA."
Ms. Raghavan was appointed as Director of the New York district office in September 2009. Prior to the SBA, Raghavan served as vice president with MTV and BET Networks for content distribution and marketing, where she was responsible for contract negotiations and marketing for 23 channels. Prior to MTV Networks, Raghavan was the International Director for Mergers & Acquisition at AT&T and an investment banker with Broadview International. Raghavan also was owner of a small business specializing in strategic advisory services for companies in their quest for growth.
She received her MBA from Seton Hall University and bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University.
